We hosted the spring tea gathering on a beautiful early summer day at Shofuso. The guests enjoyed a thin tea while admiring the beautiful Japanese garden in the Shoin-style room, surrounded by Fusuma paintings created by Senju Hiroshi. Meanwhile, in the Koma modeled after the Jukoin Masu-toko style, calligraphy ‘Seizan Ryokusui’ by Yamashita Ekou was displayed. Amidst the gentle breeze of early summer, guests savored a thick tea. Many members of the public attended, most of whom were first-time participants. We’re grateful that everyone enjoyed the event and that our members had the opportunity to embrace the spirit of “Ichigo ichie.”
薫風が心地よい快晴に恵まれた初夏の一日、多くの市民の方にご参加いただき、松風荘での春の茶会を盛況に開催することができました。千住博の襖絵に囲まれた書院作りの広間では、「端午の節句」など５月の趣向のお席に多くの市民の方にお入りいただき、美しい日本庭園を眺めながら薄茶をお楽しみいただきました。一方、聚光院枡床席の写しの小間では、山下恵光和尚の「青山力水」の一行書が掛けられ、初夏の風が薫る中、ゆったりと濃茶をお楽しみいただきました。今回も多くの市民の方は初めて茶会にご参加される方が多く見受けられましたが、皆さまにお楽しみいただけたこと、そして会員が一期一会の機会を持てたことに感謝いたします。
